Huddersfield Town’s B Team continue their Central League campaign on Wednesday 9 November when they host Bolton Wanderers!

The Young Terriers continue their Central League campaign against Bolton Wanderers on Wednesday 9 November, 1pm kick-off, welcoming them to Millers Oils High Performance Complex (509 Leeds Road, Huddersfield, HD2 1YJ).

Looking for their first win in the Central League this season, the youngsters will be hoping to build on their 2-0 home result against Salford City last week.

Supporters can attend the 1pm kick-off on Wednesday.

Neo Eccleston previewed this game:

Eccleston started by discussing how he has found his season so far.

“There has been a lot of good games so far this season; I scored against Watford in the Premier League Cup, so I’m happy about that.

“There has been a few ups and downs and games where we haven’t done so well, but it’s about bouncing back and winning that next game rather than remembering the loss.”

“We’ve had a lot of games and we’ve taken a lot of injuries, so it’s been a bit of an overload but that happens when you play football so it’s just about handling that.

“There’s obviously a couple of the lads that have been doing well in training and they have been rewarded by playing with the First Team, which means that some players have had to find that balance of training and travelling with the First Team and the coming to us and playing with us – it’s a lot for our age group right now.”

Our young right back touched on the win against Salford City last week as well as what the focus has been in training preparing for our upcoming Central League fixture.

“The match before Salford we took a loss, after that we just had to focus and get that win in the midweek.

“Then, once you get a win, you just want to keep the momentum going and that’s what the aim will be for Wednesday,”

“Our focus this week has been winning, we have done lots of work on crossing and finishing, which was something we needed to work on because while we do put a lot of crosses in, we don’t always finish.”

Neo spoke about his style of play and how he uses his position at the back to get the ball forwards before looking ahead to Wednesday’s Central League game against Bolton Wanderers.

“I like to attack because I wasn’t always a defender; I started as a midfielder, then moved to winger and now I’m a right back, so I still like to go forward, score goals and put crosses in - it’s always been part of my game.

“We’re expecting Bolton to come here wanting to win after we beat them earlier this season at their place, they’re not going to want two losses – it’s going to be a tough game.”
