Huddersfield Town left back Harry Toffolo was delighted to have got his name on the scoresheet yet again as the Terriers secured a third place finish in their final regular game of the Sky Bet Championship season.
Toffolo gave Town the lead in the 33rd minute, and speaking to HTTV post-match, he was quick to comment on how he was feeling after the final whistle.
“Incredible, and it’s been topped off by being able to walk the families round and appreciate the fans.
“It’s been fantastic and it’s a memory that will live with me forever.”
Toffs’ goal saw him make it 5 goals in his last 7 games, a stat he admits isn’t too shabby for a left back!
“I think the space opened up with Carel making an excellent run and I saw Wardy was on all game and to be able to have a striker like Wardy and Jordan up there doing their job is fantastic.
“It’s one of those moments where it was an instinctive strikers finish from the left back!
“If I can keep contributing to the team and take momentum, 5 in 7 is no mean feat for a left back, let alone a striker, so if I can challenge and keep pushing the team forward, then that’s all I can do.
Next up for Town are Luton Town in the Play-Off Semi-Finals, and Toffs says the Terriers are raring to go.
“We’re more than ready.
“I think we showed today that we’re more than ready.
“We’ve rotated the squad, showed how strong our squad is and how much depth we’ve got, and we’re looking forward to it.
“Every single one of those players who played today, and those who didn’t get the opportunity to play, want that shirt.
“It’s going to be an interesting week for the Head Coach – probably the toughest decision of his career so far to pick the team because every single one of them has the right to be on that pitch.”
