Corberán makes three changes to the starting side
- Huddersfield Town side named to face Luton Town
- Head Coach Carlos Corberán makes three changes to the XI
- Lee Nicholls, Tom Lees & Lewis O’Brien start
Huddersfield Town Head Coach Carlos Corberán has made three changes to the starting line-up for tonight’s Sky Bet Championship Play-Off Semi-Final first leg against Luton Town; 7.45pm kick-off at Kenilworth Road.
The headline news is that Lewis O’Brien starts after missing the final game of the regular season last weekend with an abdominal issue. He comes in for Carel Eiting, who is a substitute this evening.
Town’s second change sees Lee Nicholls return in goal, with Jamal Blackman dropping to the bench.
Our final switch sees Tom Lees return in defence in place of Pipa, who is also among the substitutes. Tonight is the 550th appearance of 31-year-old Lees’ domestic career!
There’s a very welcome return to the match day squad for Sorba Thomas, who has missed the last three games with the knee injury he sustained in April’s 2-0 win at Middlesbrough. The winger is a substitute tonight.
With O’Brien and Thomas returning to the match day 18, there’s no place in the squad for Josh Koroma or Josh Ruffels.
The in-form Harry Toffolo makes the 250th start of his domestic career this evening, which also happens to be his 100th Sky Bet Championship appearance.
Ryan Schofield (shoulder) and Álex Vallejo (knee) are still unavailable to Corberán, whilst Matty Pearson (knee) is recovering fitness having returned to training this week.
Tonight’s match marks a century of games in charge of Town for the Spaniard!
