Defender commits future to Town until 2024

- New Huddersfield Town contract for Jaheim Headley
- B Team defender agrees deal until 2024, with additional Club option year
- Comments from Head of Football Operations Leigh Bromby

B Team defender Jaheim Headley has signed a new contract at Huddersfield Town!

The 20-year-old left back has put pen-to-paper on a contract that runs until the summer of 2024, with the Club having the option of a further year’s extension.

London-born Jaheim joined the Town Academy in the summer of 2018 and has subsequently become a regular in Jon Worthington’s B Team. He made 29 appearances for the B Team this season, finding the back of the net on 3 occasions.

He is yet to make his senior debut for Town, but he was an unused substitute in the season-ending Championship game at Reading in May 2021.

Head of Football Operations, Leigh Bromby, commented:

“We’re delighted that Jaheim has committed his future to Town for another two years.

“He’s another one of our young players that we feel has genuine potential to become a First Team player for us.

“We have full confidence in our staff, both on and off the pitch, that they can maximise Jaheim’s potential and help him with his transition to becoming a successful professional footballer.”
