Huddersfield Town goalkeeper Lee Nicholls has been named the Blue & White Members Club’s 2021/22 Player of the Season!
Having been awarded the Player of the Month by Blue & White voters on four separate occasions across the season to date, the goalkeeper can add this Player of the Season Award to his list of 2021/22 accolades, which includes a place in the official Sky Bet Championship Team of the Season.
A free signing from Milton Keynes Dons in the summer of 2021, it’s been a dream first season as a Terrier for Nicholls, who’s standout performances and presence between the sticks have seen him become a firm fan favourite – which is again underlined by this award!
As part of the vote, Sorba Thomas, Lewis O’Brien and Tom Lees picked up the majority of the remaining nominations.
Commenting on the award, Nicholls said:
“Thank you to everyone who voted for me as Blue & White Player of the Year! I really appreciate it and it means a lot to me. Congratulations to Harry and Reegan for winning the prizes in the draw!”.
As part of the vote, Blue & White Members that won the free prize draw are Harry Langley from Shipley – who wins two tickets in the Directors Box against Bristol City, which includes a three course meal in the White Rose Club and a signed and framed Lee Nicholls montage picture – and Junior Member Reegan Irvin-Harris from Birstall, who also receives a signed and framed Lee Nicholls montage picture!
