Town fans can now watch back full highlights of our impressive victory on the road against Coventry City via HTTV!
Our third Sky Bet Championship win in a row and fifth victory in six, it was a near perfect away performance from a determined Town in the Club’s first competitive fixture at the Coventry Building Society Arena.
Standing up to sustained periods of pressure from the home side, Town were set up to hit back on the break and went close several times before Harry Toffolo bagged the first in spectacular fashion right on the stroke of half-time.
Cutting in from the left wing after being fed by Scott High, the defender hit a right footed rocket across the goal into the opposite corner, giving the ‘keeper absolutely no chance as he notched his fifth of the season, with four of those coming in the last six games.
The second half followed a similar pattern until the introduction of Tino Anjorin, who put in his best performance in a Town shirt as he gave the Terriers fresh impetus going forward.
Creating a huge chance for the returning Danny Ward and giving the Coventry defenders an absolutely torrid time, he stepped up from the spot to put the cherry on top of a great cameo after Lewis O’Brien was brought down by Wilson in goal.
Coventry pulled one back late on through Gyokeres, but the Terriers stayed solid in the final exchanges to bring all three points home to West Yorkshire.
