FRANCIS HURL AGREES ACADEMY SCHOLARSHIP

16-year-old joins from Crystal Palace

Huddersfield Town is delighted to welcome another new scholar to the Club's Academy for the upcoming 2022/23 season.

16-year-old goalkeeper Francis Hurl has agreed to join Town, and will train under George Danaher, Oran Thompson, and Neil Bennett.

Born on 30 September 2005, Francis joins the Young Terriers from Crystal Palace.

Francis and his teammates will feature in a bespoke games consisting of EFL fixtures, supplemented by matches and tournaments arranged by the Club.

Huddersfield Town’s Head of Goalkeeping, Paul Clements, commented:

“Francis came for a trial with us, and it was obvious from the off that he was a good kid.

“He’s got great character and looks like he’ll work hard, which is what I expect of all my goalkeepers.

“His main task now is to come in work hard both on and off the grass, and show us that he has the desire to improve all aspects of his game.”
