Huddersfield Town Head Coach Carlos Corberán wants to see the ‘same mentality’ from his side when they face Bristol City on Saturday 7 May 2022.

The Terriers welcome the Robins to the John Smith’s Stadium in their final regular Sky Bet Championship game of the season.

Speaking to the press in his virtual press conference, Carlos discussed the upcoming fixture.

“I think it’s really important tomorrow that we go against this team, and we compete.

“We keep competing how we are competing and try to show the best that we can with the team and finish the season with a positive feeling and give the three points to our fans - this is what we want.

“In some games, where the consequence of a win or a defeat is higher, the possibility of the player playing with the same freedom is harder.

“I’d like to see the team play with the same mentality and the same freedom and confidence.”

Town’s Head Coach went on to comment on the competitiveness of the Championship ahead of the final regular game.

“If you finish first or second, it means you’ve done things well.

“I agree Fulham and AFC Bournemouth have been the best two teams in the Championship this year.

“You can see how competitive the league is - in the Championship we don’t know which teams will play in the Play-Offs yet.

“Some teams have guaranteed a Play-Off place and other teams haven’t yet, so it means the level of the competition is very equal and until the last minute of the last game, everything can change.”

The Spaniard also provided his latest injury update.

“Sorba Thomas is not training with the group yet.

“He is still working with the medical staff, so we’ll see what is going to happen in the next weeks.

“We have the opportunity to extend the season with the Play-Offs and we can see how he’s going to react - this is the same situation with Matty Pearson.

“Lewis O’Brien is not going to be involved - he had a small problem in the hip.

“We decided it is not a big problem, but he cannot perform this weekend and is not going to be available.

“We will see how Danny Ward and Danel Sinani are feeling after training today.

“We will have to see how Levi Colwill is feeling too because in the week he couldn’t make the normal training week.

“Josh Koroma has been training normally this week and he’s going to be one of the players that I want to be available to select for tomorrow’s game.

“At the end of training today we will see how many players will be available and for how many minutes they will be able to play.”
