Huddersfield Town Head Coach Carlos Corberán says the fans support is what helped drive the Terriers on to the Sky Bet Championship Play-Off Final.

A 82nd minute goal from Jordan Rhodes saw Town beat Luton Town 2-1 on aggregate to secure their place at Wembley.

Speaking to HTTV after the game, Carlos was quick to give his thoughts on the game.

“It was a difficult and tough game.

“I can’t tell you that I enjoyed it, because it was a game that was difficult to manage.

“It was difficult to find solutions that allowed us to be better on the pitch.

“The first minutes of the game were excellent, we started to find advantages in the middle that allowed us to attack a lot in the offensive half, but in the last minutes of the first half they started to be better than us.

“It was clear that the bigger chances in the first half were for Luton, not for us.

“In the second half we did some adaptions that allowed us to press better, and the game was balanced until the end.”

Town’s Head Coach was also eager to comment on the fan support at a sold-out John Smith’s Stadium.

“It was so, so, so special the support that they were giving us.

“From the first moment, and in the difficult moments, not only the good moments of the team, not only after we scored the goal.

“They helped a lot to find the energy to achieve the result that we achieved tonight.”

As attentions now turn to Wembley, the Spaniard knows whoever Town face at Wembley will be a big challenge.

“I was watching the game the other day and the fact that Sheffield United scored a goal in the last minute of the game allowed them to be in the game and have a lot of possibilities.

“I was watching two teams who have very good players.

“They are there because they deserve to be there and the one that makes the Final will deserve it, because they are both two very good teams.”
