Voting for our March 2022 Goal of the Month competition is open on our official Twitter page!

Another busy month for the Club across both the Academy and First Team with league and cup obligations, there were plenty of efforts to choose from for this month’s competition.

With voting now open on Twitter – with the poll embedded below – here are the four strikes that have made the March 2022 shortlist!

Danel Sinani vs Peterborough United – Starting as we meant to go on under the lights, Danel’s gorgeous left footed curler set the perfect tone for the game. Controlling the ball well after it broke to him on the edge of the box, Sinani worked room for his shot before stroking a lovely strike into the far top corner.

Tom Lees vs Peterborough United – The central defenders second of the night in a month where he found the net three times in total, this was the pick of the bunch! Showing his predatory instincts in the area following a set play, Leesy leaped highest to latch onto a Harry Toffolo header back across goal, putting the cherry on top of a great home Town performance.

Joseph Johnson vs Rotherham United – Showcasing JJ's ability with both feet, the Young Terrier initially collects the ball as he overlaps down the right wing, before flicking it past a defender to cut inside. Beating his man, JJ creates room to shoot with his left, looping an excellent curled effort so far into the opposite corner that the Rotherham 'keeper just stays rooted to the spot.

Danny Ward vs West Bromwich Albion – Having charged down Sam Johnstone in the first half to give Town a deserved one nil lead, Wardy doubled our advantage in the second following a slick team move. With the ball worked to Lewis O’Brien to shoot, his effort wasn’t gathered by Johnstone, with Ward alert enough to nip in and finish tidily past the England international.
