With around 260 guests packed into the Revell Ward Suite at the John Smith’s Stadium on Wednesday evening, footballing legend Kevin Keegan gave insight into his amazing career.
Having followed up one of the most distinguished playing careers of the era with an unforgettable time in management, there were no shortage of tales for Keegan to tell about his time within the game.
Compered by comedian Jed Stone, the evening featured a two-course meal and sponsored by Pennine Industrial Equipment, Magic Rock Brewing, Majestic Site Management.
Kevin discussed his career in great detail - from his beginnings as a child in Doncaster, his first ever game for Scunthorpe United’s youth team against Huddersfield at Heckmondwike, and his progression to Liverpool, where he won some of the top domestic and European honours.
Kevin also reminisced on his time in club management with Newcastle, Fulham and Manchester City, before opening up about his time as Manager of England's national side.
The evening ended with a Question and Answer session hosted by comedian and compere Jed Stone. Questions from the audience included Paul Gascoigne, perms, and life as a football manager. Kevin then posed for photographs and individually met the 260+ guests in the packed out suite at the Stadium.
