Town Head Coach Carlos Corberan admitted that AFC Bournemouth had been the better side on the day as Town fell to defeat at the John Smith's Stadium.
Summarising the game, Carlos explained that his side started well and that early joy have them the belief that they could be more agressive off the ball, which was ultimately their undoing. He said:
"It’s very simple to give the explanation, they were better individually and as a collective than us.
"I think that was both positive and negative in the first 15 minutes were that we felt we could recover the ball in the offensive half, and that they were a little bit uncomfortable in securing the first passes.
"It gave us the feeling that we could be very aggressive against Bournemouth, and when you’re aggressive, it means you’re going to defend with more open spaces, and they’re one team who are very dangerous in the open spaces because they have players who can individually make a difference.
"The game was going well until they scored the first goal, as soon as they scored the goal it became a very difficult situation.
"You want to press more to recover more balls and go for the game, but if you don’t arrive on time they’re going to beat you and they’re going to have clear and big chances.
"When you’re playing at home and you want to go for the game, sometimes you take this kind of risk.
"In the second half, we didn’t try to press as aggressively – but the first time we did, they scored.
"We had to wait and be more compact to make the attack difficult, the third goal made it impossible to change the dynamic of the result.
"After that, the frustration and fatigue appeared, which have us the feeling that it was impossible to change the result."
