Town will face Preston North End at home in First Round of 2022/23 Carabao Cup

Town have been drawn against Preston North End at home in the First Round of the Carabao Cup!
Drawn on Sky Sports News at 2.30pm on Thursday 23 June, the Terriers will host Preston with ties currently planned to take place during the week commencing 8 August 2022.
There will be a total of 35 ties taking place in the first round of the competition, with games scheduled for the week commencing 8 August 2022.
Burnley, Watford, and all Premier League clubs not competing in Europe during the 2022/23 season will join in round two.
Those set to play in Europe next season - the likes of Manchester City and Liverpool - will then join in the third round.
The draw for the Carbao Cup closely follows the release of the 2022/23 Sky Bet Championship fixtures this morning, with Town hosting Burnley on Friday 29 July at the John Smith's Stadium to kick our season off!
