Matty Daly has today joined Sky Bet League Two side Harrogate Town on loan for the 2022/23 campaign!
The 21-year-old attacking midfielder will join up with teammates Josh Austerfield and Jaheim Headley in North Yorkshire to play for Simon Weaver’s side.
This will be a third spell in the division for Matty, who spent the first half of last season on loan at Hartlepool United before moving to Bradford City in early 2022. With 12 senior appearances for Town also under his belt, he will surpass 50 career games early in the forthcoming campaign.
Huddersfield Town Loan Manager David Fox commented:
“This loan is an important one for Matty. We all know he is a talented player, and we saw that last season when he had a really good spell of form at Hartlepool United, but now his challenge is to go to Harrogate and impact matches every week.
“Matty is really fired up for this loan. He wants to go there and show he can be one of the best players in the division. The way that Harrogate play should really suit his style, so we believe he is set up to have success there.
“We’re really looking forward to seeing Matty in action, hopefully alongside Josh and Jaheim!”
