Huddersfield Town’s First Team will return to training next month
- Pre-season begins 1 July for First Team
- Physical testing will be followed by work on the grass
- Number of pre-season friendlies already announced
Friday 1 July will see the First Team report back for pre-season training ahead of the 2022/23 Sky Bet Championship campaign, with our first fixture against Burnley on Friday 29 July at home.
The period will begin with two days of physical testing both at Canalside and off-site, before the majority of players return to the grass with Carlos Corberán and his staff from Monday 4 July 2022, with those called-up by their international sides re-joining the group at a later date.
Our first pre-season friendly will take place on Tuesday 12 July behind-closed-doors at Canalside against Morecambe, before a double game day on Saturday 16 July, with the squad to be split between trips to Harrogate Town and Doncaster Rovers.
As previously announced, the full squad and staff will train at the England national team’s home at St George’s Park between 19-22 July, with another double game day on Saturday 23 July away to both Tranmere Rovers and Bolton Wanderers.
Full attention will then be turned to Friday 29 July, with the Terriers kicking off the 2022/23 Sky Bet Championship season under the lights and in front of the television cameras against Burnley at the John Smith’s Stadium.
