Kyle Hudlin has today joined the Huddersfield Town B Team from Vanarama National League side Solihull Moors!
The 22-year-old striker, who stands at 6’ 9” tall, has agreed a two-year contract with the Terriers that runs until the summer of 2024, with the Club having the option of a further year’s extension.
Although his contract at his former club ended on 30 June, Town will pay an undisclosed fee for Kyle as he is under 24 and was offered a new deal by Solihull Moors.
Having completed the paperwork at the Millers Oils High Performance Complex on Monday, Kyle will now continue his rapid rise through the football pyramid.
Kyle only joined Solihull Moors in October 2020 after catching the eye with his prolific goalscoring record for lower league sides Boldmere Sports, Social Falcons and Solihull United. He has subsequently netted 16 goals for the fifth-tier club, most recently scoring in the Vanarama National League Play-Off Final against Grimsby Town at the conclusion of the 2021/22 season.
Head of Academy Recruitment Lee Mellor commented:
“Kyle is a very interesting player – one we are delighted to welcome to the Club.
“He’s had a fantastic rise to this position already, but we still feel there is a lot more to come from him. It was clear from our conversations that he has real self-belief and a determination to succeed, which is hugely important to making the most of his potential.
“We have plenty of options for what is the correct next step for Kyle. I'm excited to see his progress over the coming years.”
