Tino Anjorin is back at Huddersfield Town fans – and he wants to show supporters what he’s really made of!

The 20-year-old has returned to the John Smith’s Stadium for a second loan spell from Chelsea, joining up with Danny Schofield’s squad at St. George’s Park on Thursday evening.

There were lots of familiar faces ready to greet Tino and he smiled when asked about the reception he received.

“I’m buzzing to be back – to be back around the lads, the staff, and the family again. To reunite with everyone feels good.”

Last season, Tino joined Town as he recovered from a broken bone in his foot. He was able to show glimpses of his undoubted ability as the year progressed – his goal and general performance in the 2-1 win at Coventry City in late April being the standout.

Now, having been a part of Chelsea’s pre-season under First Team boss Thomas Tuchel, he believes he’s ready to hit the ground running at the Millers Oils High Performance Complex.

“I’m ready to – it’s as simple as that,” he continued.

“Last year, because I had the injury, I didn’t feel I was at my best, for sure – I was miles off it.

“The game you got at Coventry was me getting to that level. I’ve worked hard ahead of pre-season, and now in pre-season I feel strong and ready to go. You can expect a lot more now. Even in that (Coventry) game, you could see I was knackered and still not at the fitness levels that I am now.”

With the Sky Bet Championship opener at home to Burnley just a week away, Tino wants to help the Town squad build on a terrific 2021/22 campaign.

He concluded: “I think the lads can take a lot of confidence from last season and what they did. Now we have to try and repeat that into this season as well. I want to help build upon that.”
