Jack Rudoni told HTTV he’s ‘delighted’ to have put pen-to-paper with Huddersfield Town.
The 21-year-old joins from AFC Wimbledon for an undisclosed fee and has agreed a four-year contract running until the summer of 2026, when the Club has the option of a further year’s extension.
Sitting down with HTTV for his first interview, he was quick to comment on how he was feeling to have completed the move.
“I’m delighted to be here!
“It’s taken a little longer than we thought it could have taken, but I’m just happy to get it over the line.
“I’m really happy to play for Huddersfield Town now.
“Coming up and meeting everyone, it just really appealed to me.
“I always had a good feeling about the Club as soon as I met everyone, and spoke to everyone here, they told me what their plans were for me, and I think I’ve been set on coming here since then.
“I’m just so happy to be here now.”
The talented midfielder, who was named AFC Wimbledon’s 2021/22 Player of the Year, Young Player of the Year, and won the ‘Junior Dons’ award from the Club, sees playing in the Championship as the next step in his development.
“It’s one of the best leagues in the world, 100%.
“I’ve watched it throughout my whole life, so I really wanted to make the step, and the opportunity was there.
“I want to prove myself in the Championship now and help Huddersfield as much as I can.”
For Town fans who haven’t seen Rudoni in action, he gave us a heads up on what to expect.
“I’m a midfielder who works hard.
“I’ve got a high work rate on and off the ball and I like to arrive in the box and score goals.
“I like to create as much as I can and drive the ball forwards and do my work off the ball as well.”
