HTTV Extra-Time looks back over Town’s draw at home against Swansea City in our first home game of 2022 at the John Smith’s Stadium.
Playing in front of a near capacity crowd at the John Smith’s Stadium, it was Town’s first match in Huddersfield of 2022 after starting the year with two trips away.
Joined by David Hartrick of Opta and The Examiner with Town fan and host of Like One's Breakfast Show Andy Lawson completing the panel alongside HTTV host Raj Bains, the trio provide on the whistle reaction to Town’s hard fought draw with Swansea.
Reflecting on a promising first half performance that provided a deserved 1-0 lead at the break, there is praise for the shift that Lewis O'Brien in particular put in leading the press, as well as discussion of how well Ben Hamer did making saves that ultimately gave Swansea a route back in to the match.
With a strong Swansea response in the second half, the effort of the defence and Lee Nicholls is again highlighted, with the panel also talking about the position Town have in the Championship with a run of eight games unbeaten in all comptitions under their belt.
