Harry Toffolo says he looks at Huddersfield Town’s 1-1 draw with Swansea City as two points dropped, rather than one point gained.
It was a disappointing result for the Terriers, as Swansea’s pressure in the second half saw them walk away from the John Smith’s Stadium with a well-deserved point.
Speaking to HTTV post-match, Toffs gave his verdict on the match.
“I think it showed in the last 10 minutes when we did get the ball forward and make forward runs that we did create more chances.
“It’s disappointing obviously having Danel come off at half-time – it affected the team, we had a little wobble in the first five minutes.
“It then turned into more of an attack defence situation, which we don’t want to happen.
“We’ve been there before, I remember Coventry at home had a similar vibe about it. It’s disappointing.
“I look at it as two points dropped, I don’t look at it as one point gained - that shows you how far it’s come.
“It’s also a bit of perspective, we’re now eight unbeaten in all competitions.
“I know will want all three points, likewise so do we, when we have as many fans as we have today – it’s the most I’ve played in front of at the John Smith’s Stadium.
“We’re really grateful, and hopefully we can eradicate those mistakes and hang on to the three points.”
Toffs was also keen to comment on Lee Nicholls, as the ‘keeper made several important saves to keep Town in the game.
“I’d say he’s a candidate for Player of the Season.
“He’s been exceptional.
“Someone that’s come into the side with his personality and just his sheer presence – I think it’s natural at 6’4 to have a presence – he’s an incredible human being.
“He’s made the dressing room stronger, he’s made the dressing room stronger, and I hope he now continues his form because it’s going to help the side.”
