Huddersfield Town centre back Matty Pearson is delighted to have helped his team progress to the Fourth Round of the Emirates FA Cup by scoring the winner in the Terriers’ 2-1 away victory over Burnley.
The win saw Town go through to the next round and extend their unbeaten run to seven, in front of 7,654 fans at Turf Moor.
Speaking to #HTTV after the game, he was quick to comment on how he was feeling following the final whistle.
“It was perfect timing really near the end!
“To get through to the next round is something that us as a Club want to do.
“We’ve enjoyed today and it’s a great win!
“In the second half with the game changers that came on – Sorba, Danny Ward – we had strong subs and that just shows our team.
“The lads that played and the lads who came on, everyone played their part.”
The centre back scored his fourth goal of the season, a goal he wants everyone to know is his!
“I think Sorba’s tried claiming it!
“I’m definitely having that one!”
Town now turn their attentions to the Sky Bet Championship, hosting Swansea City on Saturday 15 January 2022. For those of you who haven’t got your tickets yet, Matty has some words!
“We’re in a good moment at the minute.
“You can see from the last few games; we’ve gone on a bit of an unbeaten run, and we’ve got a good momentum.
“We want everyone to be a part of it.”
