Huddersfield Town B Team striker Kian Harratt has joined Sky Bet League 2 side Port Vale on loan for the rest of the 2021/22 season!
The 19-year-old – a prolific scorer for the B Team this season, with 16 goals in just 15 starts – will join the Valiants until 31 May 2022.
It’s a step up for Kian, who has previously had two loan spells in non-league with Harrogate Town and Guiseley.
After joining the Academy as a 16-year-old, Kian has made one Sky Bet Championship appearance to date – he came on as a substitute in the West Yorkshire derby against Leeds United at the John Smith’s Stadium in December 2019.
Port Vale currently sit in the Sky Bet League 2 Play-Offs, with 35 points from 21 games, in sixth place. Managed by Darrell Clarke, Kian will have a familiar face on the coaching staff – former Town player and Academy Coach Dean Whitehead is a First Team Coach at Vale Park.

Head of Football Operations Leigh Bromby explained:
“We’re really excited about this loan for Kian.
“Port Vale put a lot of time and effort into making this loan happen, and it was clear from our conversations how much they wanted the player and the role they envisage for him. That makes a huge difference – the Club has to be right if we are going to send any of our talented young players out, as you are entrusting them with his development.
“Kian has excelled at B Team level, and Sky Bet League 2 will be a fantastic challenge for him. We’ve had a lot of success through loans for our young players so far this season – Rarmani Edmonds-Green, Romoney Crichlow, Kieran Phillips, Matty Daly and Jacob Chapman to name just a few – and we hope Kian can follow in their footsteps.”
