KSDL are looking to appoint a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to work within their M&E Team to over-see the maintenance of facilities and infrastructure at The John Smith’s Stadium.

Experience and understanding in the Building Services industry of both new and established mechanical and plumbing systems is essential.

This position has a direct impact on the service delivery to our Stadium Partners and Tenants on site and to the general public attending matches, conferences and events at the Stadium and also attending the Stadium Health & Fitness Suite and Swimming Pool.

The site is a very large prestigious Sports Stadium complex and has varying levels of complexity. These systems range from simple air handling plant to very complex computer-controlled building management systems.

The John Smith’s Stadium operates 365 days per year. The post holder will be contracted to work 37 hours per week and these hours will be flexible depending on the needs of the business. In addition, they will be expected to work first team football and rugby matches. There will also be a requirement to attend emergency call outs for mechanical failures.

The successful applicant will ideally be an apprentice trained Mechanical Engineer and hold an appropriate Mechanical Engineering qualification; have a good level of computer literacy; excellent communication skills and be self-motivated. They will also be able to demonstrate a good understanding and be technically competent in all aspects of mechanical maintenance.
