Jamal Blackman told HTTV he’s excited to continue learning alongside Huddersfield Town’s goalkeeping department.

The 28-year-old ‘keeper has joined the Terriers as a free agent, and, during his first interview as a Town player, commented on how excited he was to have got the move over the line.

“I’m really happy.

“I’m really looking forward to getting out there and helping the team, and obviously bringing along any experience I’ve had with me.”

Standing at 6’7 tall, Jamal has spent the last couple of weeks training with Town’s Head of Goalkeeping, Paul Clements, and fellow ‘keeper Lee Nicholls, an experience Jamal says has been beneficial.

“It’s been really good, everyone’s been really welcoming.

“I’ve been lucky enough to work with Carlos before, and everyone’s been really good with me.

“It’s been a good integration with everyone and I’m looking forward to it.

“Paul’s been really welcoming and I’ve been loving the training sessions and getting back out there.

“Training with Lee’s been really good for me, watching him and learning from him.

“That’s the good thing about goalkeepers, you can always learn new things.”

The goalkeeper also gave an insight into what fans can expect to see from him on the pitch.

“I’d say I’m quite chilled and laidback.

“I will always give out 100% and try and do my best.

“I’m just an easy going guy.”
