Town Head Coach Carlos Corberán provided an update on his squad and discussed opponents Reading in his latest press conference.
Travelling to face Reading at the Select Car Leasing Stadium at 3pm on Saturday 22 January, our Head Coach provided a full update on the fitness and availability of his squad – Danel Sinani, Levi Colwill and Duane Holmes especially.
“Fortunately the recovery of Danel Sinani has been fine.
“He was feeling something after the Swansea game, but it didn't cause an injury.
“He's going to train with the group this morning and if he completes training he can be involved tomorrow, either from the start or the bench with no high risk.
“Levi Colwill's recovery has been fine, but he is not going to be available.
“He is going to do his first training session today and then work with the fitness coaches.
“The medical team say he'll be available to train with the squad on Monday.
“We will also be continuing without Duane Holmes on Saturday.
“Aside from Holmes and Colwill, everyone else is available.”
Corberán also shared his opinion of next opponents Reading, highlighting that they are a different side to who Town beat 4-0 at home earlier in the season, with their own threat that demands respect and proper preparation.
“A lot of time has passed since we last played Reading.
“They have a style where they can attack and they have a lot of experienced players.
“They're not in a good dynamic right now, but that could make them dangerous because they will be looking to react.
“If I ever relaxed against any team in the Championship I would be making a big mistake. We are going to prepare with the highest level of respect to our opponent.”
Speaking to a number of journalists, Carlos also shared his views on the Town B Team, with Pat Jones and Danny Grant discussed, as well as opening up about the current run of eight games unbeaten and how that reflects on his side.
Our Head Coach also gave high praise to both Ollie Turton and Scott High, who were singled out in questions by the media.
