Huddersfield Town right back Ollie Turton says the fans support played a huge part in the Terriers’ 1-2 win over league-leading Fulham on Saturday afternoon.

The win saw Town extend their unbeaten run to 15 in all competitions, as well as walk away from Craven Cottage with their first win there since 1993.

Speaking to HTTV after the game, Turton gave his thoughts on the game.

“Absolutely brilliant!

“It was always going to be a tough game, but to come away with the three points and the way the lads worked and the shift that everyone put in – it’s brilliant.”

With Terrier Spirit alive and thriving in and around Huddersfield Town, the right back commented on what it means to him.

“It’s as a collective.

“It’s the hard work that everyone puts in – everyone’s together in it and we’re all working hard to get the outcome that we want.

“The fans epitomise that as well.

“They’ve come down for an early kick-off, with the weather and everything.

“They’re absolutely brilliant and that spurs us on.”

The right back also took the time to discuss what’s behind his newfound confidence on the pitch.

“I’m not too sure really.

“I think maybe it was just getting used to the Championship.

“I’m absolutely loving it at the minute.

“When I’m on the pitch – that’s what I want to do.

“I want to be playing in places like this and getting the results and going home happy.”
