Carlos Corberán makes two changes to the side
- Huddersfield Town side named to face Cardiff City
- Head Coach Carlos Corberán makes two changes to the team
- Danel Sinani and Josh Ruffels start against the Bluebirds
Huddersfield Town Head Coach Carlos Corberán has made two changes to the starting line-up for tonight’s Sky Bet Championship game against Cardiff City; 7.45pm kick-off at the John Smith’s Stadium.
The first switch sees Danel Sinani return for a first start in three matches. The Luxembourg international replaces club captain Jonathan Hogg, who is among the substitutes tonight.
Town’s second change comes at left back, where Josh Ruffels comes in for his second Sky Bet Championship start at the expense of Harry Toffolo, who is on the bench this evening.
With Hogg on the bench, Lewis O’Brien captains the team.
The starting line-up is otherwise changed from the 11 that started Saturday’s 2-1 win at Fulham, although there are two further changes among the substitutes.
After a nine-game absence through injury, Chelsea loanee Levi Colwill makes a welcome return to the match day 18 as a substitute tonight. He’s joined on the bench by goalkeeper Jamal Blackman, who has recovered from the illness that saw him miss our game at the weekend. Jacob Chapman and Naby Sarr drop out of the squad.
Our top scorer Danny Ward played for tonight’s opponents between 2017 and 2020, scoring 13 goals in 69 appearances.
Corberán is without Ryan Schofield (shoulder), Pipa (groin), Álex Vallejo (knee) and Rolando Aarons (knee), whilst Tino Anjorin is still completing his injury rehab at Canalside.
