Town addresses behaviour of a small minority of fans

- A Club Statement from Huddersfield Town
- Issue with a small minority of home and away fans
- Behaviour taking place in the Magic Rock South Stand

Following an increased number of incidents at home games this season, the Club would like to remind supporters that disorder and anti-social behaviour will not be tolerated at the John Smith’s Stadium.

Unfortunately, the behaviour of a minority of people in the Magic Rock South Stand at a few matches – both in the home and away areas – is unacceptable.

The Cowshed Loyal group, who also sit in the Magic Rock South Stand, campaigned incredibly hard and worked closely with club staff to get home fans in that area of the ground over many years. They share our concerns about the ongoing behaviour of this minority of people and asked us to reiterate that the last thing they want is for this to jeopardise this stand being their home.

Having home fans in the Magic Rock South Stand adds so much to the atmosphere at the John Smith’s Stadium, and we’d like to thank the large majority of our superb supporters for their tremendous backing of Carlos Corberán’s team so far this season. However, we will not tolerate the behaviour of this small group and will take the strongest possible action to eradicate it.

Any individual identified to be behaving in an abusive manner or disorderly fashion, including - but not exclusive to - throwing missiles or possessing pyrotechnics, will be subject to the Club’s Sanctions Policy. This can range from a one match ban to an indefinite exclusion of a suggested minimum of one year.

We would remind supporters that they can report anything that they believe qualifies as disorder using our anonymous reporting line – 07741 528 949. Please let us know which stand and block you are sat in, and as much information as possible about what is happening.

Thanks once again to every Town fan giving their backing to the squad this season – we look forward to seeing you at Saturday’s Emirates FA Cup game against Barnsley.

Tickets for Saturday's Emirates FA Cup game at home to Barnsley are just £10 adults & £5 concessions! Get yours online HERE now!
