TOWN PLAYERS MAKE CHRISTMAS HOSPITAL VISIT!

Huddersfield Town First Team players visit local hospitals with Christmas gifts

Having been unable to complete our annual Christmas hospital visits during the recent pandemic, it was a real pleasure to see our First Team players able to return to local children’s wards this week!

Visiting both the Huddersfield Royal Infirmary and Calderdale Royal Hospital, our First Team stars – including Jordan Rhodes, Will Boyle, Josh Ruffels, David Kasumu, Duane Holmes, Danny Ward, Tom Lees, Michał Helik, Lee Nicholls, Sorba Thomas and Tyreece Simpson – spent time speaking to both patients and staff, as well as handing out special goody bags.

A highlight of our community work, the players were accompanied to the hospitals by Club Ambassadors Andy Booth and Michael Hefele, with the latter commenting:

“I have great memories of these visits as a player, so to be able to take part in them again in this role has been something I’ve looked forward to.

“It is tough to have family in hospital at any stage, but especially at Christmas when being together is so special. Being able to come here with some gifts and see the smiles it can bring to the children and the staff makes it so worthwhile.

“As a Club we want to be part of our local community and be a force for good in any way we can, so days like these are always a highlight for us all.”

Catch up with Michael Hefele, Duane Holmes and Will Boyle at our hospital visits below!
