Mark Fotheringham makes three changes to the side
- Huddersfield Town side named to face Sheffield United
- Head Coach Mark Fotheringham makes three changes
- Will Boyle, Danny Ward, and Duane Holmes start
Huddersfield Town Head Coach Mark Fotheringham has made three changes to the starting side for today’s Sky Bet Championship game against Sheffield United; 3pm kick-off at Bramall Lane.
Having missed the final game before the World Cup break through illness, Will Boyle returns to the team this afternoon. He replaces Luke Mbete, who drops out of the squad completely.
The second switch sees Duane Holmes return to the side in place of Ben Jackson, who is among the substitutes.
Our final change comes in attack, where Danny Ward returns at the expense of Jordan Rhodes.
Rhodes is also a substitute in South Yorkshire, where he is joined by two players who are back from injury – club captain Jonathan Hogg and summer signing Tyreece Simpson! Hogg hasn’t made an appearance on the pitch since 4 September due to a calf problem, whilst striker Simpson is yet to make his Terriers debut due to a knee problem.
With Hogg and Simpson in the 18, Connor Mahoney and Brodie Spencer drop out of the squad.
Unfortunately Tino Anjorin hurt his ankle in training on Friday and isn’t involved today, whilst Etienne Camara is recovering from an illness that kept him out of training for most of the week.
Fotheringham is also without long term injury victims Ollie Turton (ankle), Matty Pearson (foot), Pat Jones (hamstring), and Yuta Nakayama (Achilles).
