LOAN WATCH: TERRIERS IMPRESSING THIS SEASON

15 December 2022

An update on how Town’s players are performing at their loan clubs

- Round up of Huddersfield Town’s loan players
- Players getting valuable experience of First Team football
- Josh Koroma and Matty Daly on the scoresheet 

Huddersfield Town currently have 15 players out on loan, gaining valuable first team experience.

Josh Koroma – Portsmouth

Koroma has made 18 appearances for Portsmouth in total, four of these being EFL Trophy ties.

The forward also has five goals to his name on the South Coast, scoring two league goals and three more in the EFL trophy goals. That also includes one in their last game against Stevenage on Tuesday 13 December.

Portsmouth currently sit eighth in the League One table, just two points from the Play-Off places.

Jaheim Headley – Harrogate Town

Headley is the first of four B Team players on loan with Harrogate Town this season, making 21 appearances for the Sulphurites so far.

On top of his appearances, the 21-year-old has scored two goals for the League Two side, and recently assisted one of the four goals scored against Rochdale on Saturday 3 December.

Harrogate Town currently sit 20th in the League Two table.

Danny Grant – Harrogate Town

The 22-year-old is our second youngster impressing while on loan with Harrogate Town this season.

Grant has made 14 appearances in total this season, scoring one goal and making three assists.

Matty Daly – Harrogate Town

Our third of four loanees in north Yorkshire, Daly has made 23 appearances in all competitions this season and has scored six goals for the club – five of these coming in the league and one in the FA Cup game that knocked out Bradford City.

After a brilliant run so far this season, the 21-year-old will now spend a few weeks on the sidelines with a knee injury.

Josh Austerfield – Harrogate Town

Our final loanee at Harrogate Town, Austerfield made his most recent appearance in the 4-1 victory over Rochdale, coming on for Danny Grant.

Austerfield has assisted twice during his time on loan this season.

Romoney Crichlow – Bradford City

Crichlow has been a key part of the Bradford City squad so far this season, making 20 appearances in all competitions and starting regularly for the Bantams.

With his help, Bradford City currently sit seventh in the League Two table, just inside the Play-Off places and only six points from automatic promotion.

Jacob Chapman – Salford City

Town’s B Team ‘keeper is back up to Tom King, having only played four games for Salford – his most recent taking place in October in an EFL Trophy win.

Salford City were unbeaten in all four of the games Chapman was in net, drawing once and winning once in the League, whilst winning on penalties in the EFL Trophy.

Kieran Phillips – Morecambe

The 22-year-old has made a total of 23 appearances for Morecambe this season since arriving at the end of August.

Phillips has scored four goals for his loan side, with the Shrimps currently sitting at the bottom of League One, five points from safety.

Scott High – Rotherham United

High has made 14 appearances for the Sky Bet Championship club so far this season, with his most recent appearance coming on Saturday 10 December as a 60th minute substitute in a 1-3 defeat to Bristol City.

Rotherham United currently sit 18th in the Sky Bet Championship table.

Rarmani Edmonds-Green – Wigan Athletic

Edmonds-Green has made seven appearances whilst on loan with fellow Sky Bet Championship team Wigan Athletic.

His last appearance came just before the 2022 FIFA World Cup break in a 2-1 home victory over Blackpool.

Kyle Hudlin – AFC Wimbledon

Hudlin has made 14 appearances so far for the League Two side and has scored twice for the club.

The 22-year-old's most recent goal came against Sutton United in the EFL Trophy on 22 November.

AFC Wimbledon currently sit 12th in the League Two table.

Giosue Bellagambi – Spennymoor Town

Bellagambi joined Spennymoor on 7 October after a short loan spell with Hyde United and has made 11 appearances between the sticks since.

The young ‘keeper’s loan currently runs until 2 January 2023 and Spennymoor sit 19th in the National League North table.

Ryan Schofield – Hibernian

Schofield is yet to make an appearance for the Scottish Premiership side and is back up to experienced number one David Marshall.

Sam Taylor – Northallerton FC

The 18-year-old has made 14 starts between the sticks for the Northern League Division One club.

A member of our U19 Group, Taylor is on loan with Northallerton until the end of the season.

Michael Roxburgh – Marske United

The young ‘keeper had made two starts for Marske United since arriving and the seasiders currently sit 19th in the Northern Premier League.

Having impressed during his time with Marske so far, Roxburgh has had his youth loan extended.

Sonny Whittingham – Returned from Hyde United

Sonny Whittingham has now returned from his loan spell at Hyde United, where he made a total of ten appearances for the side.

The 19-year-old also scored one goal for the club, who currently sit second in the Northern Premier League Premier Division.
