Huddersfield Town Head Coach speaks at full-time of important home win

Mark Fotheringham spoke of his happiness with the performance that saw his side overcome Rotherham United 2-0 at home in their final Sky Bet Championship fixture of 2022.
Earning our first back-to-back wins of the season, the result lifts the Club off the bottom of the division with a game in hand thanks to goals from Duane Holmes and Jordan Rhodes.
Discussing the victory, Head Coach Mark Fotheringham said:
“I’m really happy and satisfied with the overfall performance.
“To get a clean sheet as well was very positive and it’s something we’ve been working on, our defensive structure and our shape, so it’s going to be very hard to break us down.
“I thought we were a bit sloppy at the start and a little loose with our passing, because we have been passing teams off the park in large phases of the game, so we got a little bit tidier with that as the game grew and more confident in that respect.
“Overall, I thought it was a performance to be very satisfied with.
“Even without some big players like Ollie Turton and Matty Pearson, we still look really settled and the group is becoming more rounded.
“We never get too high when we win or too low when we lose, because we know that we’re performing and we know how hard we're working.”
