Huddersfield Town Head Coach said he was pleased with the effort and application of his players following their 2-0 friendly loss to Olympiacos in Estepona following a tough week of training on the Spanish south coast.
Having worked extensively with his side throughout the week to further implement his ideas and philosophy, the team’s first opportunity to put that into practice was against Greek champions Olympiacos at the end of their camp.
Despite the loss, Fotheringham said he was happy with the way his side stuck to the task in hand, stood up against seasoned Champions League experienced professionals and didn’t let their standards drop, creating plenty of half chances that can be further fine-tuned going forward.
