WILL BOYLE BECOMES TERRIERS TOGETHER AMBASSADOR!

24 August 2022

Huddersfield Town defender lends support to Terriers Together programme

- Will Boyle becomes Terriers Together Ambassador
- Terriers Together encapsulates all Club activity within EDI
- Defender will take more active role within community projects

Huddersfield Town central defender has volunteered to become the Club’s latest Terriers Together Ambassador!

Now in his second spell as a Terrier having returned from Cheltenham Town in the summer of 2022, Academy graduate Will Boyle grew up learning the values of our Club.

A strong left-footed central defender with real ability in the air both at the back and going forward, Will had a strong desire to get back involved with Terriers Together and our community focussed work away from his playing duties after re-signing at Town.

Speaking about his new role, Boyle commented:

“I am passionate about being a Terriers Together Ambassador as the Club and wider community have helped me grow on and off the pitch, instilling important values in me that I’m very grateful for.

“The recent pandemic made it abundantly clear to everyone the power of community, and although football is ultimately a game, the power it holds within communities is so special and brings together people of every age, gender, race and religion, providing us all a common ground.

“I vividly remember idolising footballers as a kid, so finding myself in a position now where I can help inspire future Town players and fans is a privilege that I don’t take lightly.

“Helping champion diversity, equality and inclusion at Town and in the local community that surrounds us is extremely important to me. Football is for everyone and I’m passionate about giving as many people possible from our community as many opportunities as possible through our game.”

One of three players to take an Ambassadorial role within Terriers Together, he joins B Team prospects Brodie Spencer and Pat Jones in lending his time to community focussed schemes.
