Ollie Turton shared the frustration of the team speaking at full-time, saying that it’s down to the squad to continue their hard work to ensure that results begin to turn around.

Speaking candidly, Turton spoke on the effort levels of the squad and what he believes needs to change for performances to improve.

“The lads are frustrated because we felt like we were causing them problems.

“It sums up our season so far, we’re making chances but they’re just not going in for us.

“We just need to dust ourselves off and go again Sunday.

“We need to turn it around and start getting results, that was the plan tonight but it hasn’t worked out.

“We’ll go back to training and prepare for Sunday.

“We are getting them chances to score, so it’s something to take into our next game.

“We need to make sure we’re more solid at the back and defending as a whole team, hopefully things will turn for us and those chances will become goals.

“I felt like we had a good pre-season, it’s just those fine details in games. We’ve been in every single game, it’s just moments that aren’t going for us.

“We’ve got to address that and make sure we put it right.

It’s down to us to make it click, we can’t wait for it to happen.

“I’m sure the lads will definitely do that, we work so hard in training and in games, not one player doesn’t put it in, you can tell at the end of the game that the lads are knackered because they’re putting everything in.

“We’ll do everything we can to turn it around.”
