Huddersfield Town midfielder Jack Rudoni was disappointed with the first 45 minutes of the Terriers’ Sky Bet Championship away game at Birmingham City.

A game of two halves, goals either end of the first half left the Terriers with a mountain to climb at St. Andrew’s.

Speaking post-match, Rudi was quick to give his thoughts on the game.

“We killed ourselves in the first half with those two goals.

“We came out in the second half fighting, which we needed to do, and we did that.

“It’s a shame we couldn’t get the second goal, but yeah, the first half wasn’t good enough and we know that as a team.

“We’ve got to bounce back now, because we know we’re much better than that.”

It was a brighter second half for Town, and the midfielder went on to discuss what he thought made the difference.

“I think we relaxed on the ball more, we got the fundamentals right, and we kept our shape well off the ball.

“I think we just took more care in the small details, and then spaces started opening up when we moved it quicker.

“Then me and Sorba were able to get out their defence more and try and create chances.”

Despite the result, the game saw Rudi make his first start for Huddersfield Town, something he says is a very proud moment.

“It definitely means a lot.

“I’ve been working hard in training and trying to take on all the information.

“It’s very disappointing we couldn’t get anything out of the game today, but it means a lot making my first start for Huddersfield Town and in the Championship.

“That’s all thanks to the manager for trusting me and I hope I can repay his trust in the future as well.”
