Yorkshire Air Ambulance, Huddersfield Town Foundation, Platform 1 and The Kirkwood to receive over £22,000 each
- Pedal for Pounds 10.5 raises £88,178.68
- 140 cyclists travelled from Huddersfield to Harrogate and back
- Event sponsored by Made By Cooper
We are delighted to share that Pedal for Pounds 10.5 has raised £88,178.68 for our four amazing local charities, with the Yorkshire Air Ambulance, Huddersfield Town Foundation, Platform 1 and The Kirkwood each receiving £22,044.67!
Once again supported by Made By Cooper, this iteration of our annual charity bike ride saw 140 Terriers battle the steep Yorkshire terrain as they worked their way from our home at the John Smith’s Stadium to Harrogate and back again for our final regular season game of the 2021/22 Sky Bet Championship.
As always, the ride was in support of four incredibly worthwhile local charities, with an equal share of the total amount raised being donated to the Yorkshire Air Ambulance, Huddersfield Town Foundation, Platform 1 and The Kirkwood.
Commenting on the total raised, Club Ambassador Andy Booth said:
“I’m over the moon that we can once again help all four local charities, and each and every one of our 140 cyclists should be incredibly proud of the huge total they’ve helped to raise.
“As we all know only too well, times have been tough in the past few years and these charities have suffered as a result of that, so it’s even better than we can donate such a welcome amount to all four of them.
“I also want to extend our thanks to Made By Cooper for their support as always, as well as the voluntary Support Team who help the ride go as smoothly as possible.
“Pedal for Pounds is a huge part of who we are as a Club, and supporters should keep an eye out for news of P4P11 coming in the next few months!”
