Danny Schofield faced the media at his regular press conference at the Millers Oils High Performance Complex ahead of Town’s long trip to face Norwich City in the Sky Bet Championship.

Starting as he usually does with team news, our Head Coach said that despite a knock to Tino Anjorin, the only players that should be missing are long-term absentees David Kasumu and Matty Pearson.

"We came through the Stoke game unscathed.

"The players are fit and we did recovery yesterday for those who played and training for those who didn't.

"Tino Anjorin took a knock, but came in to do extra recovery. He'll be assessed today but we're hoping it's just a precaution.

"I don't want to put an exact time on David Kasumu, but he's back on the pitch with the physios doing some light ball work."

Asked about some individual performances, Schofield had plenty of praise for Duane Holmes, Danny Ward, Jordan Rhodes, Kaine Kesler-Hayden and Lee Nicholls.

"Duane Holmes is one of those characters who's always knocking on my door, but when a player makes an impact like that he's always on your mind to start.

"He's a popular character in the dressing room.

"I'm not sure if Danny Ward and Jordan Rhodes compete against each other.

"They're the kinds of people who compete against themselves and I'm sure they'll be in a confident place.

"It's really healthy to have players competing against each other without consciously thinking that.

"It drives you on to be better.

"Kaine Kesler-Hayden was outstanding.

"Playing as an attacking wingback suits his strengths and it gives us that attacking impetus on the right.

"Lee Nicholls' penalty save was excellent.

"It's not down to luck, it's down the qualities he has and the work he does on the training ground."

Giving his thoughts on Norwich City, Danny says that despite their results so far, it’s clear how much quality our next opponents possess.

"Norwich are a squad full of quality and the stats have been in their favour, but they've just not had the results.

"We're fully aware of that.

"It's a good time for us because we're coming off the back of a win and that's what we're focused on."
