Huddersfield Town Under-19 goalkeeper Sam Taylor has today joined Northallerton Town on work experience to gain his first experience of senior football.

The 17-year-old custodian has joined the Ebac Northern League Division One side for an initial month and is available for their game at West Auckland Town tonight (Friday 19 August 2022).

Sam, who hails from the North East, is entering the second year of his scholarship with Town’s Academy and will still train with the Young Terriers during the week alongside playing for his new club.

He becomes one of four Academy players currently gaining senior experience in non-league. Defender Shane Maroodza has already made three starts for Bradford (Park Avenue), whilst goalkeepers Giosue Bellagambi (Hyde United) and Michael Roxburgh (Brighouse Town) have started twice ahead of this weekend’s fixtures.
