Huddersfield Town Women play their second consecutive cup final on Saturday 30 April 2022, when they travel to the Eco-Power Stadium to face Barnsley in the Sheffield and Hallamshire County Cup; 10.30am kick-off.

After beating their Development Team in the Semi-Final, Town Women make the trip to South Yorkshire on Saturday morning to take on Barnsley in the Sheffield and Hallamshire County Cup.

Town Women's run to the final started in the Quarter-Final. Although, they were supposed to host Sheffield United in the Fourth Round, the Terriers received a bye to the next round after United had ineligible players in their side.

Fast forward to the Quarter-Final, and another home tie for HTAFC Women saw a victory against Doncaster Belles at the Stafflex Arena.

In the Semi-Final, in a rather unusual turn of events, Town Women hosted their Development Team and eventually used their experience to find the victory.

Barnsley, currently sit in eighth in Division One North. Having won eight games and drawn two, they are just above the relegation zone with one game left to play.

Last weekend, Town Women travelled to Solihull Moors in the League Cup Final. Although the game didn’t end in victory for the Terriers, it was the Club’s first ever final and the score line, 3-0, did not reflect the game.

The Terriers will be looking to go one step further this weekend with victory against the Tykes.

PLAYERS TO WATCH

Jodie Michalaska is the Tykes’ top goal scorer in all competitions this season. She has scored 12 goals and will be looking at add to that tally on Saturday

Town Women will have Falone Sumaili in their match day squad on Sunday. The Development Team player was cup tied with our First Team for the County Cup and will be looking to prove herself on the huge platform this weekend. Sumaili has scored 15 goals in 16 games for Town’s Devs team and earned herself a call-up to her national side Burundi.

HOW TO WATCH

Fans can support Town in person on Saturday 30 April, when they travel to the Eco-Power Stadium (Stadium Way, Doncaster, DN4 5JW) for the 10.30am kick-off.

Tickets are priced at £8 for adults, £5 for seniors, and £1 for under-17s, with fans able to buy tickets on the day when there is one cash turnstile open.

The 10.30am kick off may be an early start, but it is a great opportunity to support the women’s team before the men’s team play Coventry City at 3pm.
