Huddersfield Town left back Harry Toffolo was delighted to get himself on the scoresheet and help secure all three Sky Bet Championship points for the Terriers on Friday evening.

Toffolo was on hand to send home a rebound in the 79th minute, seeing Town run out 0-1 winners over Hull City.

Speaking to HTTV after the game, Toffolo was quick to comment on how he was feeling after the final whistle.

“Amazing!

“Most importantly it was the three points, but to be able to score in that manner, with the foot that you normally just get on and off the bus with is great!

“It’s great for the fans, you saw how much it meant for them and to travel on Friday night, I’m sure they’re going to enjoy their evening and enjoy their weekend. It’s thoroughly deserved.”

Delighted to get his name on the scoresheet, the left back discussed netting a huge goal for Town.

“I can’t talk much about the goal, I think there’s more important goals than that!

“I’m not sure what it hit, but all that matters is it went in the back of the net!

“I’m glad I’ve been able to add to my tally – I think I’ve ended up scoring more goals with my right foot than my left foot in my career.

“It’s great, I’m really glad for the fans, especially when you can hear them there in the background.

“It’s extremely humbling and I really, really appreciate it.”

Toffs also took the time to speak about the importance of bouncing back after the international break.

“It's huge.

“We didn’t put any pressure on ourselves, I think we just went into it calmly.

“The sending off changed the game, but then it’s sometimes difficult to play against 10 men.

“We capitalised on moments we needed to, we defended really well behind the ball on the halfway line, so it was just a matter of time until it went in. I’m glad it did!

“It’s great, and if we can continue to take that into the next games, that’s great.”
