Huddersfield Town midfielder Tino Anjorin was delighted to have got his name on the scoresheet as the Terriers extended their unbeaten run to six games on Saturday afternoon.
Anjorin was substituted on in the 65th minute, and just 14 minutes later made no mistake from thbe penalty spot!
Speaking to HTTV post-match, he was quick to comment on how he was feeling after the final whistle.
“Buzzing! It’s another game that we’ve won, we got the three points.
“Our goal is to finish as high in the table as possible, and we managed to contribute to that today.”
The Chelsea loanee hasn’t had the easiest journey since his arrival at Town, but discussed how much it meant to him finally being able to show Town fans what he’s about.
“It’s been hard.
“It’s been a while since I’ve been able to get the opportunity and it’s been a long hard grind since my injury.
“Injuries in football are the worst thing that can happen to a player and it’s always tough coming back.
“Then it’s even tougher coming back after you’re fit to then get to full fitness – it’s hard!
“I’m buzzing to finally show what I can do.”
The midfielder went on to comment on how much the fans support means to him.
“A lot! As a player you feel like people are behind you, and football can sometimes be a really lonely game and to have that support and that welcome from the Town fans, even when times are hard, it really gave me a confidence boost to keep going.”
