Huddersfield Town goalkeeper Lee Nicholls has been named in the Sky Bet Championship’s Football Manager Team of the Season at their annual end of season EFL Awards!

Having joined the Club on a free transfer from League One side MK Dons in the summer of 2021 following the end of his contract, the goalkeeper has been in sensational form between the sticks since becoming a Terrier.

A firm fan favourite, the 6’5 Liverpudlian’s performances aren’t the only thing that have endeared him to Town supporters, with his personality on and off the field shining through – which has resulted in four separate Blue and White Members Club Player of the Month wins to his name to date!

Sitting down for a coffee with HTTV at the Magic Rock Taproom in Huddersfield, the ‘keeper opened up on his career to date, how much he’s enjoyed the season so far, what he felt about being named in the Team of the Season and life in general since joining the Club!

Voted for by a panel of representatives from the media, PFA, FSA, EFL, Kick It Out and Government Department for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities, the last time Town had representatives in the Sky Bet Championship Team of the Season was back in 2016/17, with both Tommy Smith and Aaron Mooy making the grade.
