Having scored at the start and the end of the first half through Rhodes and Toffolo, the Terriers were at their professional best to see of a spirited Barnsley side and secure a top six finish in the Sky Bet Championship.
Getting on the end of a Danel Sinani corner at the far post, Jordan Rhodes headed in his second in as many games to get Town off to the perfect start, with Harry Toffolo ending the half in just as emphatic fashion by turning in another Danel Sinani cross.
Now unbeaten in five, the Terriers have taken 13 points from 15 available across April so far, registering back-to-back wins in Yorkshire derby’s against Middlesbrough and Barnsley.
