Town secure huge win at home over Play-Off rivals Luton Town

Town secured a massive three points under the lights at the John Smith’s Stadium, seeing off Luton Town 2-0 thanks to goals from Jon Russell and Naby Sarr!
After an extremely tight first half with chances at a real premium, the Terriers built up a head of steam after the break which eventually lead to Jon Russell’s opening goal.
Fed the ball from a throw in by Pipa, the central midfielder ushered the ball into the box wide right before looping a high lob up over the Luton ‘keeper and into the far top corner of the net!
With a chance to equalise from the spot following an arguable penalty decision, Luton striker Adebayo squandered the opportunity to level, turning the ball wide left off Lee Nicholls’ upright with our ‘keeper diving strongly in the right direction.
The game then burst into real life as tempers rising lead to a series of bookings, before late substitute Naby Sarr put the result beyond doubt after stooping to meet a wicket Sorba Thomas corner at the far post, sparking huge celebrations across the stadium, from the pitch to the stands!
