Town returned to winning ways in dramatic fashion thanks to Harry Toffolo’s late winner away at the MKM Stadium against Hull City.

Having not been at their best for much of the first half with Hull giving as good as they got, the game was turned on its head on the stroke of half-time by Tom Eaves, who’s two rash challenges on Levi Colwill and Lewis O’Brien both resulted in bookings.

Taking the initiative entirely after the break, Town attacked at will, putting Hull under huge amounts of pressure without managing to find a breakthrough. Rolling the dice, Head Coach Carlos Corberán made three big attacking changes introducing Fraizer Campbell, Danel Sinani and Pipa.

In between several penalty decisions that weren’t given, Hull’s deep defence frustrated Town, with the Terriers numerous crosses, through balls and shots inevitably blocked, saved or scrambled clear before a telling touch could be made.

Following an excellent Tom Lees header from a Sinani delivery, goalkeeper’s Ingram’s block fell to the feet of Toffolo who was quickest to react, seeing the ball over the line to score one of the most important goals of the season so far.
