Huddersfield Town Head Coach Carlos Corberan expects a tough test when his side travel to Coventry City on Saturday 30 April 2022.
“It’s one of the Championship games that can show how demanding this league is. I expect a very tough game because I know the energy that this team play with,” Carlos explained in his press conference on Friday morning.
“They have the quality, the management and for me they have the players to be competitive in these (Play-Off) places. That’s why they were in these positions many times during the season.”
Carlos reflected on Monday’s away win against Barnsley by saying:
“I liked a lot the first 45 minutes against Barnsley. We got the goals and there were some other moves where we just couldn’t quite find the ball.
“In the second half we ended up defending more than we wanted, but even in these minutes we had some counter attacks. I think we were the better side for 60 minutes, but we want to be the better team over 90 minutes.”
Town’s Head Coach is hopeful for the possible return of Sorba Thomas as the season reaches its final stage, but admitted that Saturday’s game is too early for him.
“Sorba, we still have a possibility to see him before the end of the season because we have the Play-Offs.
“Everything depends on how he progresses in the next weeks. So, he cannot play against Coventry, he cannot play against Bristol but there is a possibility we will see him in the team before the end of the season.”
Corberán also went on to speak about the progress of Danel Sinani, who came off at half time in last Friday’s win at Barnsley:
“He’s working with the medical staff. I do not think he will not be ready for tomorrow’s game but I think he will be ready for the next game.”
