Huddersfield Town Head Coach Carlos Corberán has shared his thoughts at full-time of Town's latest Sky Bet Championship fixture against Luton Town.
Discussing the match, the Head Coach highlighted how the balance of the game shifted in Town’s favour.
“I think today we played a very balanced and equal game.
“When these things happen, the details can be crucial and can change the game, and today for me the details went in our favour.”
Asked about Jon Russell’s goal, Carlos joked that the man himself would have to clear up whether or not his finish was intentional, but praised the midfielders quick thinking in the moment.
“I think you need to ask him!
“I think he was doing something very well, knowing that they were marking man to man, he was making a full movement after going in behind.
“The idea for us was to squeeze the play with the throw-ins, but he did for me the right action.”
Opening up about the end of the game, Corberán highlighted just how pleased he was with the support from the Town supporters, and how that created a real unity from the stands onto the pitch.
“I think they were supporting the team until the end, especially in the last moments when you know they can be complicated they were for me supporting a lot, creating a real unit with the team.
“It’s always pleasing to see the players after the game celebrating with our fans.
“It makes very special the effort that they do, coming here to the stadium and supporting the team.”
