Town Head Coach Carlos Corberán spoke at full-time of our one nil away win against Hull City, admitting that it was an important victory in our attempt to finish as high up the Sky Bet Championship as possible.
Discussing the game in more detail, our Head Coach alluded to the even nature of the game in the first half, which was changed by the red card received by Tom Eaves on the stroke of half-time.
“I think we had to suffer a little bit more than we wanted to.
“We’d have liked to have gotten the result before in a more comfortable situation.
“But you know in the Championship it doesn’t always happen in this very competitive competition.
“Of course, after they lose a player we insist even more on the ideas that we had at the beginning, which was to put many balls into the box, to see more attacks and more chances, but we had to wait until late in the game to achieve the goal that allowed us the three points.”
Opening up about the result, Carlos shared what the mentality of his side would be for the remainder of the season.
“It’s an important moment for us to get the three points.
“And of course, we know out mentality is to add as many number of points as we can add – because the more we add the better position we’re going to finish.
“Our target is to finish in the highest possible position that we can finish.”
