Carlos Corberán makes four changes to the starting line-up
- Huddersfield Town side named to face Blackburn Rovers
- Head Coach Carlos Corberán makes four changes to the line-up
- Vallejo, Sarr, Koroma & Ward all start
Huddersfield Town Head Coach Carlos Corberán has made four changes to the starting line-up for tonight’s Sky Bet Championship game against Blackburn Rovers; 7.45pm kick-off at the John Smith’s Stadium.
Unfortunately, Jonathan Hogg is unavailable tonight due to an abdominal injury, so Álex Vallejo comes into the line-up for his first start since 14 August.
Levi Colwill is also out tonight after picking up an ankle problem in Saturday’s game at Swansea City, so Naby Sarr makes his first start in four games at centre back. The Senegalese defender’s two John Smith’s Stadium goals came against tonight’s opposition in our 2-1 win in December 2020.
Corberán makes two attacking changes, with Josh Koroma and Danny Ward returning to the side in place of Ollie Turton and Fraizer Campbell, who are substitutes this evening. They are joined on the bench by Rolando Aarons and Josh Ruffels, with Mipo Odubeko dropping out of the match day squad.
Nicholas Bilokapic replaces Giosue Bellagambi as the back-up goalkeeper.
As well as Hogg and Colwill, the Head Coach is without Ryan Schofield (back), Pipa (hip), Jordan Rhodes (back) and Aaron Rowe (toe).
Matty Pearson started his career with tonight’s opponents, progressing through their Academy to turn professional there but never making a senior Rovers appearance.
